The advantage is that the seats do not have to be removed and stored elewhere when taking advantage of the load carrying capabilities. So you can take your load from A to B, offload it, reconfigure the seating and continue from B to C with a car full of passengers. The Toyota Previa is the King of MPVs. Renault's Espace may have started the trend, but the Previa has long overtaken all other MPVs for its unbeatable versatility and the fact that it is STILL the only vehicle of its class that can take 8 people in confort.
