Advantages: Roomy, safe, versatile, rust free

Disadvantages: Parts expensive, needs a lot of petrol

I'll cry when this car goes to the car graveyard. The Toyota garage said it will run for ever and i hope it does. Unfortunately now the family is growing up it often is only ferrying around 1 person and being a bit of a gas guzzler it is starting to not justify its keep!
But what tales it has had to tell. The eight times it has got us safely to the south of france and up the Alps. Lock, stock and barrel. Kids, luggage, bikes- you name it. It's spacious, it's comfortable, it's smooth. It has shifted people, 3 piece suites, beds, fridge-freezers etc and did the schoolrun many times. It has carted 5 of us plus 3 cats in boxes on holiday.
A truly truly wonderful versatile car.
It's upkeep has been minimal and if one silly s*d had not forgotten to put some water in it, it would still have it's original engine.
Parts tend to be expensive but if you make friends with a local mechanic it's amazing what a bit of skill can do-compared to some of the big boys!
Although she's showing her age,her paintwork has lost a bit of it's original gleam and the interior could do with a new re-fit- there's no rust!
Not many cars of that age can say that!
