Advantages: saved money

The opinion on the toyota yaris t-sport was really well informed in all but one fundamental area .Price! I bought a t-sport from trade-sales.co.uk the cost was £9663.75. on the road with 6 months tax and 1yrs mechanical breakdown as well as the 3yr toyota pan european warranty. this also included metallic paint. The differences in specification were: no locking wheel nuts , no alarm, and no rear roof spoiler. But if you wanted to put these items on it would cost a lot less than what you have saved! But I notice in the report that the alarm gave problems, and the roof spoiler obstructed rear vision. P.S. locking wheel nuts are £35. The Yaris is a proper supermini and not a car that has grown out of its class ,like the new VW Polo which is now as large as the original Golf! The T-Sport version of the Yaris has many exclusive features that are not found on other Yaris variants.4 Wheel disc brakes ,body kit, analogue instruments,1.5 litre engine and certain colours,as well as the interior trim, upholstery and seats. Whilst some criticise the firm ride ,you must realise that this is supposed to be a T-SPORT . I believe that in Japan they have a one make race class for these cars ( like the clio cup) so it is more likely it is the lousy state of our roads that is more to blame for the firm ride being somewhat harsh. We chose the T-Sport for many reasons and my wife is really pleased with it,it is easy to driveand park .It also leaves you with a feelgood factor when you drive it,something lacking in many cars nowadays. I found no disadvantage in buying a parallel import and saved £2500 .There was no problem with warranty since Toyota's 3yr warranty is pan European .I did have to wait 45days as I wanted it in Thunder Grey[ which is exclusive to the T-Sport] this proved a help as it gave me a little extra time to sell the old car . There were a few subtle differences in" UK spec". Ours did n
ot have the alarm fitted(immobilliser does come as std as well as security labelling of major parts). There was no rear roof spoiler, and some of the badging on the rear was not there. None of these differences change my opinion of buying parallel especially after reading how the roof spoiler restricts rear vision and that the alarm is over sensitive and cannot be disabled if you leave a dog in the car. Buying through Trade-sales.co.UK was a remarkably hassle free experience and since they only required a small deposit paid by credit card I never felt vulnerable to some of the unfortunate stories you hear about. I have been driving cars and motor bikes for over 40 yrs and have bought over 80 cars in this time so I feel qualified to have an experienced opinion on the subject.
