The 4.5 v8 is a god send, plenty of power, plenty of noise and a quality feel to it. I'm on my second cerbera now (the first was the 4.2) I?ve driven lots of sports coupe's but the Blackpool rocket has to be the best value for money. You can get one second hand for the same price as a mondeo estate. New they are a maximum of £58,000.I would strongly recommend anyone to buy a cerbera if they have owned or driven, for a long period of time, a very powerful sports car, this car is not for novices as a heavy right foot is likely to lead to a change of trousers. Excellent car can't be praised enough for my liking. The wooga wooga burble you get at the traffic lights is fantastic and when you drive through tunnels the echo feed back is totally addictive. I must admit I'm not normal I own a performance car parts showroom and i couldn't help myself and have added a straight through exhaust (manifold to exit pipe) just to add a little more flavour to the drive but now it is a little too tail-end happy so i wouldn't recommend anyone else doing it. sorry about the over emotional view of the cerbera but thats what happens when you're 23 and own such a car, but for everyone that hasn't driven one here's a little more about the car. front mounted 4.5 litre in line engine linkled to a limited slip rear differential and rear wheel drive six speed american manual gearbox (the same base unit as the dodge viper and aston martin v8 vantage) top speed in excess of 180mph 0-62 in..... well you get the idea it's too damn fast for English roads. the achilles heal for this car has to be it's reliabilty, if you're not a mechanic with the appropriate tools you're gonna spend a lot of money getting this car fixed because when things go wrong with this car it's gonna be expensive, even services are at best steep starting at £500 for a basic service and check-up. the interior in the
cerbera is as you would expect in a british sports car, lots of dead cows in almost any colour you want. the carpets are a nightmare to hoover because they are very thick pile but that just adds to the entire feel of the car, the gear change is short and firm, not stiff just solid. the one thing i don't like about this car (yes there is something i don't like about it ) is the placement of the handbrake lever, its right over in the passengers lap! daft but nevermind. if there's anything else you want to know about my car please leave me a message.
Who wants to be a formula 1 driver! - Advantages: Regarding the 4.5….Should be called ROCKET because it goes like one! , The fastest car on the road after the Mclaren F1 , A lot cheaper than a £ 632,000.00 (Mclaren F1) & That popping noise on acceleration - awesome! - Disadvantages: Noisy to start up - cranky, Services are expensive, Made for speed rather than reliability - tendency to stall
The T.V.R Cerbera has got to be the best T.V.R out of the whole range it's a long way better than the T.V.R Griffith and the twelve speed it handles like a dream it acclerates perfectly to anyones standard and anyone who sits in one will fall in love with it straight away like i did. With an interior of your choice but it looks much nicer in leather which suits it down to the ground. It's the drive of your life.
