I only had my Agila for a short while before recently driving it into a ditch, and writing it off. It was a sad goodbye though as the Agila Enjoy had served me well! Mine was an 04, and the previous owner was my grandad. Mine had low mileage as I think he only ever used it for quick run outs to the shop to be honest. For a new driver, the Agila was easy to manage, although for a long while I feared going into 5th gear, as it wasn't always easy to come back down again- not very enjoyable on a dual carriageway! Part of the appeal for me was the inside space. It is a deceptively large car- yes, it's tall and looks a bit like postman pats van, but it's ... Read the complete review

The old shape Vauxhall Agila, though built to look like Postman Pats delivery van, is such a good little city car. Areo dynamic its not, but what it lacks in funky street appeal, it more than makes up with in the cabin. Outside the car is boxy, it has a high roof line and whilst looking compact its also very neat and well turned out. With a choice of either the 1.0 or 1.2i 16 valve engine, the 1.2 is the better engine. Whilst the Agila is made for town rather than country journeys, it can and does perform much better than expected on long drives. Its no high revving super car and can easily be out powered at times, but as its a comfy drive I still think it ... Read the complete review

Vauxhall Agila 1.2i 16v (Club) Advantages: - Driver height. Roomy for passengers. Economical. Adaptable. Disadvantages: - Small boot. Looks. Slightly noisy. Underpowered slightly. The model we have is a “Club”. What can I say about these strange looking cars, quite a lot really. The ride height is very good with good all round vision, I can guarantee you will not go back to a low car after driving one of these. The car looks different with every colour they paint it. The RED makes it look like Postman Pats van. The BLACK and DARK BLUE make it look like a London Taxi. The YELLOW, I don’t know what to say about that! The ... Read the complete review

The Vauxhall Agila is my first, and to date, only car! I found this beauty when I was trawling around garages looking for a cheap banger. I had my eye on a fiesta but this one caught my eye at the last minute, for several reasons. One of the best reasons for this was the price! The car is very affordable, gaining mine at £1500. This may seem like a lot to new drivers, but the affordability really kicks in when we talk about the insurance, pay plans and petrol. For my insurance, I only have to pay £135 per month for this car, very affordable with some good saving. £35 per month is paid out for the actual car, which gain is not a particularly large amount. ... I have a 1.0L Agila myself and I do enjoy driving it. The car has been extremely good so far (Only done 16,000 to date) and has had ZERO faults. It is almost two years old and has never seen a garage since it was new (I serviced it myself). It has had no teething problems that you often get with other new cars and has simply worked. Granted the specification is basic and the looks contraversal but it makes a very practical small car. Because of the tall roof you sit more upright in the sits and so less leg-room is required. The car is not so good for long motorway jorney's. Whilst it will cruise at 80mph if you make it, it is more confortable at ... Read the complete review
