Advantages: Air con, Good looks, Price

Disadvantages: Costly extras

This car looks the part and would appeal to those who are looking for sporty looks without sporty premiums. My paticular SXi is black sapphire (metallic) and in the short distance from the showroom to my house it turned a few heads.
At the time of writing this review I have only owned my SXi for a short time but feel qualified to write about the Astra as I drive them in work in some extreme circumstances. Bottom line, I trust it.
I have pushed the car and have very rarely been let down by it. It steers accuratley, corners as if on rails and will shift if you give it enough welly.
Overall, not the best car in the world, but for the price well what do you expect. Well done Vauxhall. It is supposed to be changing shape at the end of this year 2003 but I am happy with its looks as it is for now.
I added the sports fin, metallic paint and alarm, costly but with a group 5 insurance its not that bad. Air con, cd/radio-player,(six speakers) allloy wheels, low profile tyres, sports seats, remote control for the cd player/radio on steering whell, (leather) 2x air bags all standard. Bit of a boring dash but hey, too much and it would put the cost up to.
A recent change to the front and rear lights has improved the looks by 'smoking' the exterior of the front lights and all of the rear.
A nice touch to the stereo is that you can set it to automaticaly increase the volume as the speed of the vehicle increases. Whilst this is good when driving on your own it can be annoying if there are passengers and you wanna chat.
The interior alarm can be disabled if you need to leave pets in the car leaving the other access points protected.

Welcome to dooyoo and I hope you enjoy our friendly site. I have been a little generous with my rating as there is so much more you could have told us about your Vauxhall. Have a read around and you will get the idea. Val (Motors Guide)
