Advantages: Simple design
Disadvantages: Crap Looking, Tyres seem to wear easy
The Vauxhall Corsa is really not a bad little car. In fact one of the only problems I find with it is its ordinary looks. The Corsa I have got is a Club 1.2 16v automatic in red. It seems to perform really well from two and a half thousand revs, which is really good as it gives you that late pull, past cars that think they have got the better of you. The Corsa feels 'grippy' around the tightest and most off camber of corners and it never feels as though it?s rolling. The power steering is just about the right strength and steering does not feel too light and definitely not too heavy. It has nice and soft suspension and any major bounces are quickly damped out. As the driving position goes the seats are maybe slightly over 'laid back' and the foot well is definitely too small. Even though mine is an automatic I have a problem with sticking my left foot somewhere. I'd expect in a manual that I would have trouble using the clutch without touching the brake. The interior looks all right. Mine has both driver and passenger?s air bags. The best thing about the interior is the covered display on top of the dashboard. It's really easy to see and also has a temperature display on it. The automatic has a sports button, which will not change the gear until six thousand revs, which can be fun! Baring the foot well all the seats have plenty of space for such a small car and are comfortable enough for most journeys. Boot space is about as good as you are going to get in cars this size and there is plenty enough headspace. All in all this car is the type that?s likely to please everyone but to enthral so many. Its fuel economy is not bad (about 40-50 mpg) and driving the Corsa enjoyably easy. It is definitely worth a test drive.
