This was the first car which i bought when i passed my driving test. It was perfect for my needs at the time. The engine allowed enough power for a new driver without being too fast, it was cheap to run and lasted over three years without any problems. The boot was a reasonable size and you could easily fit 4 passengers in the car without problems. The only reason i sold the car was because i had convinced myself i deserved something else after driving for 3 years, however I'm pretty sure that its still going strong somewhere.

I recently passed my driving test in 2011 and for a 19 year old, this little car is fantastic, I have a 1.2 litre engine and they are so cheap to run. The insurance wasn't as painful as most teenagers insurances are these days. Great little car and I hope it lasts me a while. I don't see any downside to my Corsa and as a first car it is brilliant. I would recommend a Corsa to any new driver or anyone looking for a cheap run around. The only thing I would change about my Corsa is that I got a 5 door and not a 3 door because it is a pain to have to get out whenever somebody wants to sit in the back seats.

I have recently started driving and i absolutely love this car it drives very smoothly and most importantly is cheap to run around, I believe the vauxhall corsa 1L is in the top category for insurance meaning it is cheap to insure. Depending on what litre you are driving obviously effects this figure but the combined MPG (miles per ... Read the complete review

I bought my 1999 "T" plate Corsa 12.i Club 5 door in August 2003. I actually went to look at another car altogether but I saw this one and the rest, as the say, is history. It had 5500 genuine miles on the clock and had a service history. I have now done 34000 miles with the car and can honestly say it has served me very well. ... Read the complete review

My first car was an M reg red 1.0 Arizona Vauxhall Corsa, which I brought in 2005 for a thousand pounds. I'd always wanted a Corsa (don't really like red cars and my first driving instructors car was a red corsa, but beggars can't be choosers) and a family friend who was a mehanic said he'd let me know of any second-hand cars that we ... I had a P-Reg Vauxhall Corsa a few year back. Great little runner. However it got wrote off. Strong Vehicle, but the fact you can pick up a great many Haynes Manuals from car boot sales tells its own story. Like any car, its not indistructable. This car like most others that decide on this car was my first. I was sharing a car with my brother beforehand and now that I was married and had a baby on the way I decided I needed my own car. Having 0 no claims bonus and not being the most confident in drivers I opted for a small, economical car and decided on a Vauxhall ... Read the complete review

The Corsa is a great car. I bought my first one for £1500 second hand, which is a realistic price for a young person wanting their first vehicle. The insurance isn't too much either and its great for teenage street credibility as opposed to other choices of cars for that budget. I have had my Corsa for almost 8 years now and ... Oh the Vauxhall Corsa - my one and only car. It was a 1996, 1.1l, 'Arizona'. Already 100,000 miles on the clock when I bought it from my brother, it was definately on its last legs, with many people declaring it only a matter of time, weeks even, before it broke down. But I showed them, WE showed them, me and her, me and my ... Read the complete review

The 1996 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 is a beast with its heavy steering and dreadful handling when parking or turning the car in the lower gears. The trouble with the car is mainly due to its complete lack of power steering, which makes driving the car at very low speeds quite hard. Its so very heavy to maneuver the Corsa into a parking space ... Read the complete review

The pre-2000 Vauxhaull Corsa is a superb car. It's quick, light and pretty reliable, as well as being surprisingly robust and resilient in harsh weather and treacherous road conditions. Although the pre-2000 models are somewhat heavier and chunker than the later models, they are certainly not without their charm and boast electric ... Read the complete review

Ive owened 2 1998 corsas since i've been driving and ive had no problem with either of them. My first was a 1.4 16v CDX model with 5doors, this car was brilliant, it would do 50mpg on a run and 35 around town with its ECOTec engine. My 2nd which im still driving now is a 1.2 breezea nd the only reason ive got this 1 is because I crashed my 1st one and the insurance only went up £7 a month so is better than the CDX on insurance and will also do around the same mpg. These car are cheap to buy as i bought my 2nd car for £600 and it had only done 73,000 miles on the clock. I would highly reccomend buying one for a first car.

I believe that Corsa's are great little cars in our current recession. They are cheap on fuel, cheap to insure and cheap to tax. Every cost that is associated with Vauxhall Corsa ownership is cheap.
