Advantages: Nice sporty car, good value for money
Disadvantages: Electrical faults quite common
I bought a 2003 vauxhall corsa 1.2 sxi for my girlfriend and thought i would write a review about it.
The exterior of the car in my opinion is very sporty, it came with alloys, colour coaded bumpers and mirrors and has a lovely design which just makes this little hatchback so popular
The interior again is very nice and benefits from a cd player, twin airbags and electric windows. The dashboard has some nice silver decals and this is also visible with the chrome topped gearstick (nice little touches) For a small car it is suprisingly spacious inside even the boot area was bigger than i expected.
The engine is suprisingly nippy for a 1.2 and knocks spots off its main rivals in its class. Due to the engine size the car is very economical and achieves very good miles to the gallon. I cant remember exactly but im sure it was about 45-50.
The car has very good handling and braking system
On a negative side we did experience some electrical faults which vauxhall never managed to rectify. On further investigation and research on the internet i found this was quite common which regretfully was the reason we ended up selling the car.
Overall i believe these are great little cars but would definately recommend you get it checked out by a mechanic before you buy.
Summary: Nice, economical car with good sporty looks
