The family resemblance is quite remarkable and it isn't until you see them side-by-side that it is clear which is which. May 2009 was a sad month for me. I had to pay my final respects to an old and dear friend. We had been together for nearly six years. We had been through good times and bad, mostly good, and had learned to live together at ease with each other's foibles. Admittedly our relationship didn't get off to a good start: she let me down badly in France and we ended up returning home separately.
