Vauxhall Frontera Estate Limited 2.2DTi 16v 5-door

I have owned a 2.2 dti for two years now and had loads of trouble with it.First was the airmass meter then followed the injector seals then the speedo also the steering pipe burst now there is oil in the intercooler and a problem with black smoke so thick you cant see behind you and to tiop it off there may be a problem with the turbo i would not buy another frontera if my life depended on ...

Advantages – Pulling power. Ride height. Reliable. Disadvantages – Fuel hungry. Injector seat seals. Brakes. The Frontera I have was bought second hand and had to go to the main dealer to get the injector seals replaced (It had done 32,000 miles). After talking to the local mechanic who looks after our cars (Vauxhall trained) he said that it was very common with this engine, but as far as he was concerned they were not hard to replace but awkward to do. In his opinion this was the best engine that Vauxhall had fitted in the Frontera to date. I can only take his word for it, so if you buy one of these, be prepared to have to replace ...
