The vehicle managed to do 32mpg if it was driven as if on eggshells, b ut generally returned a favourable 23mpg. My husband has warned me to expect the vehicle to be a bit noisy after our people carrier, but no, it cruises in pace with many sports cars and all you can hear is the wind. It is so smooth to drive it is on ...more

I always liked the exterior style of the Vauxhall Frontera but never really planned to own one. A change of vehicle was decided by the fact that I had bought a large twin axle caravan, and my people carrier turned out to be inadequate on the kerb weight. Aware of the 'old' Frontera's less than favourable reputation, my husband and I started weighing up the specifications on most of the mid-range 4x4s. The Freelander and Rav4 types were too light on the kerb weight, whereas the Landcruiser or Jeep was too expensive to run, we also wanted petrol as we intended to convert to LPG. Oddly, we set the vehicle we were to buy to have specific requirements. 1. Petrol. ...  Read the complete review

The limited edition 3.2 V6 Frontera Estate is my third Frontera and although I found nothing very much to complain about with the first two this model is by far the best I have had. My experience with the Frontera started when I found that my old Carlton 1.8 Estate was a bit sluggish when it came to towing our caravan, which at the time was only a small 3 birth Bailey Majestic. We obviously needed something a bit more powerful and with a kerb weight that would give us stability when towing. After looking around I rather liked the look of the Frontera Estate. I have a company Frontera Limited 3.2 V6 big improvement on the last model, that was a disaster the engine is very powerful and fast.....0-60 in 9secs top speed of ~ 120mph making it the fastest 4x4 on the road second only to the top of the range Merc faster than the V8 Range Rover / Shogun and the Grand Cherokee build quality is OK, suspension is bit bouncy but all jeeps are interior is good, with all u need one problem with high clearance vehicles with not very high roofs such as this, is that in the back seat you knees are up high...can get quite comfortable MPG is terrible, but again they all are in petrol ...  Read the complete review

The V6 Frontera Limited Estate. Well what can you say about this incredible machine? I love it. It has everything you'd ever need in a car of this type and compared to the over priced Land Rovers and Range Rovers there's no comparison. Okay it's had some bad publicity in the past but I think this one rights the wrongs. A fully practical family car in most senses, although fuel economy can be rather poor. Space and comfort wise it takes some beating especially with a new baby and all the kit that you need to travel around with. And, when it comes to value for money, leather, air con, heated seats...the list goes on. Prestige travel for not a prestige ...  Read the complete review
