Advantages: Economy, but with pace.
Disadvantages: Easy to break into..
For sheer reliabilty, and performance the Nova 1.2 was in its time hard to beat..And would appear to be the car of choice even today for the young boy/girl racer..Or Kev's as my youngest puts it..
My first Nova , bought in 86' was a black Nova merit.. Bog standard, but a darling to drive..With good acceleration, solid on the road ( especially when cornering)and was easy to park, and easy on the juice..
More importantly, apart from routine servicing, and tyres, didn't cost me a penny in maintenence for the 58,000miles I put on the clock..
My current Nova..( A creature of habit me)..Was purchased .from my elder daughter..Who bought it with 3000 miles on the clock for a bargain price in 1993.because the first owner decided he wanted a Corsa which had replaced the Nova..
Again its a 1.2 bog standard Nova Spin..but she is as reliable as my first, and a joy to drive..
Parts are still readily available for this vehicle at a reasonable price..But if you are thinking a buying one, put a little cash aside to have a good anti-theft device fitted..
CAR THIEVES LOVE THE NOVA.....
