Nice little run about! (Vauxhall Nova)
Member Name: Flying Dutchman
Advantages: Cheap to run, nice shape, good performance from small engines. Disadvantages: RUST, sporty ones high insurance.
I have owned my nova for over a year now, and I am still impressed with its lively performance for quite a small engine. It has lasted extremely well, with only the service consumables having to be changed. When I brought it, I was looking for something a bit stylish, aswell as reasonable performance. As I was only 17 at the time, I had to opt for the small 1.2 engine, but it is still going strong, even after a bit of abuse(racing with mates) My one has done over 100,000 miles, and yet it runs perfectly, no starting problems, and the seals are all still good. My only niggle with it is the bodyroll and light steering, but for cheap cars they last well with good maintenance. My only wish is that Vauxhall had been a bit considerate, and hadn't made the wheel arches out of such rotten metal. If there is a nova without any rust in thos areas, I havent seen it, but don't let that put you off, as it will give you years of consistent performance with a bit of TLC! Summary: |
