Well not when it comes to closing it, if it's raining hard then the last thing you want is to be stood there with your finger on the button, and that is what you must do until it shuts. GREAT! The car is very clever and has loads of great features, heated seats, airbags, cd player, remote central locking, 17 inch alloy wheels, electric windows, fully leather interior, massive boots space (unless the roof is down) and best of all...more

Premium Review Vauxhall Tigra in general: Not all it's cracked up to be! (419 words)

The Vauxhall Tigra Exclusiv (this is the new shape convertible top specification). 18 months ago i was looking for a new car, as a young (mid twenties) woman with no children or prospects of having any in the near future i test drove the Vauxhall Tigra. To be honest i didn't need to test drive it, the minute i realised i could afford it i wanted it! However buying a car on a decision made by how great i'd look with a 2-seater convertible was not ideal and now 18 months later i am paying the price. The car itself looks great, my favourite feature is the boot and yet i also hate it. It is electronic and you press the button for just over a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sexy, I think not (145 words)

After reading the top reviews I do wonder how they can call this pig of a car sexy. Its a heairdressers car through and through. It has an engine only a go-kart would be happy with and their is no space in it. I have worked for the Vauxhall importers on this car and so many have to go back its unreal. They have rust after only a short trip on a car transporter stashed away from the elements. Of all the cars i've driven this one tops the list of those not to buy. If you are a midget you will be ok. I'm of only average height but I felt cramped in side. The enigine is one of vauxhall worst, well how else could they try to lever an engine in that compartment. All in ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Vauxhall Tigra in general: My wonderful tigra  (126 words)

My 1.4i auto tigra is great. I was going to buy a honda civic and only tried the tigra as 'one last comparison' - half a mile later i was grinning from ear to ear and hooked ! That was four years ago and ive never regretted it. The seats are very supportive. I have the sunroof, electric windows etc which are all fine. My only wish is that I'd gotten air-con (which was xtra) as my car is black and gets VERY hot in summer. Its like driving a precision roller-skate but dont think youll get the family in the back seat (though its better than youd think for moving items around when the seat is down). Its good for petrol consumption, too. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review A quick attempt at a Coupe (211 words)

I have had a Tigra for nearly three years. In all fairness Vauxhall could have done a lot more with the car, which if you do not know is built around the Corsa. If you are an individual who does not socialise much an rarely takes friends out, then a look at the Tigra is worthwhile. The vehicle has a few drawbacks they are as follows:- - It mists up very badly throughout the winter months - leading to poor visibility - Overall visiblity is poor. - Uneconmical, I have found it hard on petrol - Very poor ride, it feels the slightest bump in the road, it was not built for comfort. - Noisy - Very poor interior illumination - ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Vauxhall Tigra in general: Still turns heads ! (295 words)

I'm on my second Tigra too. Both have been 1.4s, this one is the Marine Special Edition. I did not intend to buy a second as I had my eye on a Puma but that turned out too pricey. My first Tigra was an early model (Jan '95) and suffered form the famed engine fault that, in my case, led to a complete engine failure at 8,000 miles ! This was all covered under the warranty by the way. So my second Tig came along in August 1997. Since then it has been faultless. It's only been in the garage for its annual service (average about £140) and it just passed its MOT first time. Running costs are very reasonable. Insurance is about £200 a year (fully ...  Read the complete review
