I have owned one of these for the last two and a half years. It does approximately 34 mpg (which is very good for the size of engine) and has been rock solid reliability wise. There is plenty of power in the higher rev range (which is very useful for overtaking on the motorway). The car now has 158,000 miles on it. A very nice reliable car to own.

OK before I start I have to say that I am a Vauxhall fan and so far have owned 5 of them. Albeit older models. I have to say that this is the absolute worst car I have ever had the misfortune to drive. I turned up at the rental office expecting a Ford Focus. My heart sank a bit when I was given the keys to the Vectra but I thought that the last one I had driven (a T reg 1.8 LS) may have just been a bad one. Plus this one looked nice seeing as it was a dark blue SRi with nice looking alloy wheels and a neat boot spoiler. Got in and straight away I knew it was a mistake.
