The Vectra got a lot of bad press due to bad reliability reviews. Much of this was deserved because there really were some problems which were (i)shown up by the very hard life most Vectra Rep. mobiles get or (ii) down to design faults. Result is that a high mileage low spec early Vectra can be a disaster. However, from early 1997 ("P" reg with Aircon)many of the silly faults had gone. Anything with the 167 PS 2.5 V6 is good news, because this is the very reliable unit used in many GM cars worldwide. The SRi is about the best of the lot because Lotus did development work on the suspension. About the best deal is to go to a supersite and score ...
