I feel that the all new VW beetle has done its predacessor more harm than good. It appears to me that VW reckoned that it would sell no matter what engine they put in it. O.K. the old one was not a rally machine but when they can produce a 2.8 , V6 engine which develops 204bhp.it seems to me that they held back a bit on a 2.0l 115bhp. engine which came out of the dark ages!
I'm sorry VW but the spoiler looks as if it would be of more use as a table than to actually produce downforce.
I MEAN!
COME ON!
It has now become a car for rich posers rather than for a true VW enthusiast.
The upolstery is appaling and the manual version is slow, in fact, that is an insult on slow cars even comparing them to the new beetle.
It is over priced , over rated and down right UGLY.
I admire all other vechicles in the VW range even the lupo and the old beetle but come on get rid of it quick!
