Advantages: Build quality; to show off to your equally poncey friends.

Disadvantages: Generally inferior.

I have to say that I completely agree with the good Iain Massey. The Beetle is totally C.R.A.P! Does the Dome have a family of dwarfs? He says he can fit a family of 5 in the thing. It would appear to me, that anyone with a family of 5 would be better off with, to pick a couple of examples at random, a 90bhp TDi Golf (se) or a 1.8 20V Turbo Passat. Iain has been very perceptive on the Beetle's crap engine. I, however think that it would be a little unwise to put a 2.8 V6 in it, because this would create a death trap. How about the 1.8 20V? Eh Volkswagen? Eh?

The new Beetle is also outrageously overpriced at sixteen and a half grand, don't you think? Seeing, as the Dome bhoy pointed out, that the Beetle is just a reversed Golf chassis, people would be better off buying the genuine article- a Golf, rather than a half-baked excuse for nostalgia to fleece guilible ponces so that they can be noticed somehow. "I MEAN COME ON" in the immortal words of the most highly esteemed Iain Massey.
