It is my goal in life to own a VW Beetle. In fact it is my goal in life to own at least two (both at the same time if I can afford!), an old one and a new one.
They are the snazziest, coolest, funkiest little, well, littlish, cars in the world.

I know people say there's nowt like the original, and true, it may not have exactly the same charisma, but there are quite a few improvements.
For example, it is now a much more reliable car and being new, less prone to rust.

The new shape is also lovely, all round and aerodynamic. I can't decide whether I prefer the old shape or the new shape at the moment.

If you drive the new Beetle, you won't find yourself pushed up against the windscreen, as with the old ones, oh no, the dashboard is never-ending! Just look at one of these babies and notice how far back the driver is!
Also, on this dashboard is small vase, suitable for about three stems! It's so cool! And when it's dark, the dashboard lights up like an aeroplane - it's not your average green, oh no, with a blue and red display it's so pretty to look at.

Unfortunately, that raucous, distinguishable engine rasp has gone. A lot of people will probably be pleased, but I loved that sound! There is nothing I'd like more than to accelerate down the street and make that noise!

Of course, you have to pay the price to own such a funky car. Unfortunately, it is only two door, which results in a strenuous climb into the...small..back seat. Also, because of the curved shape it's rather easy to hit your head if you are sitting on either side in the back.

Despite those slight disavantages, I think the car is absolutely fantastic and I would be perfectly willing to sacrifice the luxury of having a door direct to your seat for it.

I just absolutely love Beetles, old and new, as you can probably tell! If you like a car with style, then this is the bug for you.
