Advantages: Like driving a car 10K more expensive

Disadvantages: Needs the 1.8T engine

This is probably the most underrated car that VW currently make. It's looked upon as a Golf with a boot but that's unfair because it's streets ahead of the Golf. Although it shares the same floorpan and interior with the Golf it's refinement is one up on it's hatchback brother. Ride and handling are tighter with more of a sports feel. Build quality is simply amazing. Close your eyes and think Audi. In fact, unless you're a badge snob, then buying an Audi is a sheer waste of money. This does it all superbly. Excellent equipment levels and amazing residuals.
