Overlooked refinement (VW Bora in general)
Member Name: Alternum
Advantages: Smooth, quiet, sophisticated Disadvantages: None!
The VW advert for this car implies that someone would give any excuse to drive it - and they are right. This is a fantastic and very overlooked car. With an image of being merely a booted Golf, like its predecessor, the Vento, this is in fact a completely separate car. Quiet, refined, powerful, ideal for cruising, the car is a joy to drive, despite the power steering feeling slightly light at times. The switches are all satisfyingly large, and whilst the radio takes some getting used to, the overall feel is of a very well put together machine. There is a range of engine sizes, with the 2.0 being plenty powerful enough, and the high-rev acceleration is quite breathtaking. It is comfortable as well, the seats are fully adjustable, and the boot is enormous. All in all, a wonderful car. Summary: |
