Advantages: Powerful, Good design, Large Boot
Disadvantages: Poor rear legroom
The VW Bora 1.9TDI (110BHP) Sport is an excellent car. I have owned the above model for nearly a year and I am still in love with it. The noise of the engine is no more noticeable than that of a Petrol equivalent, the power is fantastic and the fuel economy superb. The BORA is a saloon version of a Golf and all the usual quality that you would expect from VW is there. My model has a host of extras that I could no longer do without. Automatic AC, Electric Windows and Mirrors, Automatic windscreen wipers that turn on and vary in speed with the density of the rain. Even the rear view mirror dims if the headlights of cars behind you are too bright. The handling is excellent and holds the road like glue, especially around corners. The boot is truly enormous, and with rear folding seats, most loads will fit in. One drawback is legroom for rear passengers, especially if like me the driver sits well back. This has been sacrificed for the boot space. I would have no qualms about buying another Bora, however I think I might be tempted next time to move up to a Passat.
