We have recently bought the TDI PD 115 bhp diesel version, and are absolutely delighted with it.

Having driven only VWs for a very long time I can honestly say that it's the best yet (matched only by the Golf Estate).

Everything about it has been well thought through and designed, it's beautifully put together, and the boot is enormous.

If you thought diesels were slow, test drive the TDI PD. Superb acceleration (better than the 2 litre petrol model) and 121 mph top speed.

A real rival to BMW/Mercedes, and at a much better price. So is the servicing.

Check out the prices in the Netherlands - we saved around £4000, even allowing for all the incidental costs.

55 mpg by the way.
