Having bought one second hand (03) model (2ltr tdi) over two years ago I have to say I adore this car. I am constantly astounded at how whilst it has all the power you need in normal driving as well as going like a bat out of hell, it is so economic. In fact it makes me laugh when I hear adverts for newer cars boasting about an average mpg of 42. ... Read the complete review

The Bora may be considered by some people to be a very boring car. I do not agree with this. It may not look very good, but is certainly an excellent motor, with credentials of both the Golf and Passat. At a shade under 2G less than the Passat it is a car for someone who can't quite afford the Passat, but needs a Golf with more space and ... Read the complete review

This car is everything that VW needed to reflect upon the success of the polo, golf, and the passat. These are the fab three as far as VW are concerned. They sell more of these vechicles than ever before. Now they should become the fab four with the new arrival! Facts S1.6 105BHP Stdi 90BHP SE1.6L 105BHP/AVAIBLE ... Read the complete review

We have recently bought the TDI PD 115 bhp diesel version, and are absolutely delighted with it. Having driven only VWs for a very long time I can honestly say that it's the best yet (matched only by the Golf Estate). Everything about it has been well thought through and designed, it's beautifully put together, and the ... Read the complete review

The VW Bora 1.9TDI (110BHP) Sport is an excellent car. I have owned the above model for nearly a year and I am still in love with it. The noise of the engine is no more noticeable than that of a Petrol equivalent, the power is fantastic and the fuel economy superb. The BORA is a saloon version of a Golf and all the usual quality that ... Read the complete review

The VW advert for this car implies that someone would give any excuse to drive it - and they are right. This is a fantastic and very overlooked car. With an image of being merely a booted Golf, like its predecessor, the Vento, this is in fact a completely separate car. Quiet, refined, powerful, ideal for cruising, the car is a joy to drive, ... Last week I took the opertunity to take one of VW's 24 hour test drives. Compared with the usual once round the block the 24 hour drive is an excellent idea. We drove about 100 miles each way through the cotswolds and the performance was very impressive. Over 50 miles to the gallon and I must admit I was not being gentle. Six ... Read the complete review

This is probably the most underrated car that VW currently make. It's looked upon as a Golf with a boot but that's unfair because it's streets ahead of the Golf. Although it shares the same floorpan and interior with the Golf it's refinement is one up on it's hatchback brother. Ride and handling are tighter with more of a ... Read the complete review
