Disadvantages: noisy, high insurance, ugly

I am officially the second love of my boyfriends life - he has just bought a Corrado!
I cannot understand why a car which is nearly 7 years old and costs virtually the same as a brand new car holds so much appeal!
To me, its noisy, looks bloody ugly and frankly, i'm jealous of it!
He used to have a golf GTI and he says he's always wanted a Corrado - why???
Its massive on insurance, and as we live in a big city, he has comendeared the driveway so i have to park my car on the road!
Could someone please enlighten me into why men treat their cars as a human being and see them as the be all and end all of life?
