My life in 3 polo's (VW Polo (pre 1990))

Advantages: Indestructable, cheap, fun, practical

Disadvantages: spark plugs a pain to remove!

My very first car was a VW Polo C reg C330RRY. I named her Andrea. I paid £320 for what was to be a gem of a car. I must admit that as a young 'Michael Schumacher' I didn't exactly treat this car with respect, but she took everything I threw at her. I dont think any of my polo's have ever broken down!

My second car was also a Polo.F131KTN. Marilyn, after I blew my previous car up,( dont change from 4th to 1st at 50mph!)was as good as I expected and I was often called upon to help transport things for my mates as the square-backed polo is very spacious for such a small car.

Later on in my car owning history I came across a lovely specimen B530DTY who had 196,000 miles on the clock, I believe on one engine. She was a little smokey but at that age( this was 2004) it is to be expected. From what I hear she is still going too!

Summary: I'd definitely recommend this car to anyone, especially new drivers.
