VW Golf MK4:
... was my first VW and after looking round several dealerships I spotted this car in black. Booked a test drive and bought the car the same day. I was very impressed with the interior & build quality, which was in a different league to the Corsa s and Clio s I owned before. VW Golf MK5 ... being very impressed with my previous MK4 I decided to buy another Golf and go for the new MK5 1.9 TDI SE model. First impressions from sitting in the car was the rather dull interior but at the same time the car has still the excellent build quality that VW are renowned for. The ride comfort and handling on this model is excellent due to a stiffer chassis and new suspension set up. This has much improved over the MK4, which suffered a lot of body roll round corners and bends. This SE came with some nice toys including auto wipers, cruise control, heated mirrors and a trip computer which can tell you various information including your average mpg, estimated ... VW Golf MK4 ... bought my Mark 4 1.9TDi about 4 months ago after passing my test. I called him Conor and I have to say, it was SUCH a buy. He s 2002 and in really good condition - I paid £2000 for him which I thought was a bargin. The 1st thing I noticed about Conor after having learnt to drive in a Vauxhall Corsa is that looks are decieving. I thought when i bought him that he was a small car but once I got used to him, and compared him to a friends Saxo I realised that he was in fact, a medium sized car. I have had several roadtips and can comfortably fit 3 adults in the back seat. As for luggage space, that is also amazing, easily fits two large suitcases in the boot and the... VW Polo (1990-94) ... have owned two VW polo s and I have only owned two cars so I may be biased towards them but I don t apologise for this and I hope my review is still balanced on the pro s and con s. My first polo was an R reg (98) 5 door post-box red basic model polo with no power steering! (yes I had muscles of steel!) I loved it as a first car even though I did spend pounds and pounds on it (it needed some much needed tlc as it was high mileage.) I bought it for £400 (a bit of a bargain thanks to a now ex-boyfriend) and sold it for £585! Bonus! So I loved my old polo that much that I bought another one :) .
