Volvo 940/960:
... bought my Volvo 940 GL estate in December 2002 - it was first registered in September 1991, so when I bought it, it already had 170,000 miles on the clock. Volvo 440 ... acquired a Volvo 440 GLI Auto on a J reg a couple of months ago for the princely sum of £50, obviously out of tax and test. The car had been sitting for nearly a year and flew through the MOT with only a sidelight having to be replaced. This car seems to be absolutely sound with no signs of rust amazing considering it is 18 years old. The car is built very well indeed and feels very solid and safe inside. The interior is nothing special being mostly plastic with dash and clocks being nothing but average. However is fitted with electric sunroof, and heated seats but strangely only manually operated windows. The 1.8 engine in this car is also very good having done 73,... Volvo V40 in general ... volvo V40 is comfortable, the lumber bars in the back of the seats have been great :) the ride has been smooth and comfortable. In regards to looks i have to say it is one of the best looking cars that volvo have produced, it shy s away from the more recognised boxeyness of earlier volvo s and adopts a very nice set of curves and comes in some nice color options also!! the alloy wheels are a bonus and the interior is very satisfactory, it s not to primative and not over the top either!! The cab space of the v40 is very large and comfortable with plenty of leg room for rear passengers and also the rear seats are comfortable too!! The boot space is good but i feel tha... Volvo V40 in general ... V40 is an interesting car. It s not the station we have come to expect from Volvo. It s neither as masculin nor as bricky as a conventional Volvo. It s design is slim, clean and as sexy as can be for a station wagon. Its seats embraces you, its stearing is solid and secure, its engine sounds confident. Netiher the sporthy whiiim, not the cheap sound of most commercial engines. Its interior is not catchy, but neither is it boring. It s functional and practical built with good material. On the road it easily glides through the trafic, easily reaches 200 km/h (even though the official max. speed is said to be 195 for the 1.8 model). Newer Focus or Megan s can t get cl...
