Volvo 340/360: ... biased opinion, but bear with me, I will try to be objective! I bought this car in 1996 when I was 19. I needed something that would be cheap to insure, but I've never been a fan of small cars, so my choice was rather limited. I like rear-wheel drive too, so a Volvo it had to be, really. Plus even back then you could get a really nice one for my £1,000 budget. I bought a 1984/B 340DL three-door, in hearin...

samclinton Volvo C70 in general
... I work in the motor trade I have more than ample oppurtunity to drive many and varied cars...in fact, if it wasn't for the fact that they keep working me so hard I would have written many more op's on my experiences. Last September we were lucky enough to have Volvo UK lend us some demonstrators for our appraisal. Now, I know I'm a girl, but I do like cars and I am quite a bit more knowledgable than your stereotypical "I don't know what model it is, but it's red" woman driver. Therefore I was quite disgusted at myself when I found myself getting excited about driving the damn thing. The first model that I was given the opportunity to...

Nolly Volvo 850
... way- just thought I'd say that to excite Mrs Murphy!). I'm not going to go into the ins and outs of every care looked at, but we have purchased our new vehicle, and I shall name him Sven. Sven is nearly 8 years old, has done 101000 miles, but has been fully serviced and looks good. And I even admit that driving Sven makes me look a good deal sexier as well! Sven is a bright red Volvo 850 2.0 GLT Saloon. He has got a whopping great spoiler on the back, and is definitely the strong silent type. The condition of the car was very good indeed. The interior was spotless, the engine was quiet and it is just a lovely car. So what bells and whistles has it...

ubermurph Volvo 480
... bought the 480 turbo thinking I was getting a performance car from a manufacturer with a reputation for reliability. Well, at least I was right about the first bit. The 480 can go fast. I have no issues saying that. What I do have issues with are: the dodgy mechanicals; irritating electrics; and the jaw-dropping bills from Volvo dealers that catalogued the time that I owned the car. It broke down the day after I bought it, and the day after that. New battery required, but the dealer covered that. They didn't cover the four other batteries that their beauty killed over the following twelve months... the light bulbs that it ate like smarties... the clutch that d...
