Volvo 480:
... from a manufacturer with a reputation for reliability. Well, at least I was right about the first bit. The 480 can go fast. I have no issues saying that. What I do have issues with are: the dodgy mechanicals; irritating electrics; and the jaw-dropping bills from Volvo dealers that catalogued the time that I owned the car. It broke down the day after I bought it, and the day after that. New battery required,... Read the full review: Steaming Pile of Poo!! by ubermurph |

Volvo V70 T5 Estate ... goes like s* of a stick but it doesn't have the class to challenge its rivals. Admitedly it does look a lot better than most previous Volvos but that really isn't saying much is it? Inside everything is functional and whilst having good levels of equipment it just doesn't feel like it has got much class. Its almost like having an Escort with leather seats and all the gizmos - not really right! However dispite its relative lack of class the Volvo is a really good car. It does handle reasonably well for it size but again you have to remember what you are comparing it with - BMW, Audi, Mercedes etc. The BMW handles better, the Audi has more style and the M... Volvo V40 1.8 (122 bhp) Estate ... Volvo is for life well in Shane's case until he rights it off! Well, that not all together fair, okay so he hit the back of a Mercedes Lorry, then a Mondeo car rolled over the bonnet whilst he was on a single track road and then finally someone in a VW Polo hit the back of the car whilst he was turning left. These incidents occurred in 300 series Volvo's since then Shane has had on 440 SE, I have had a special edition 440 redline and currently a 440 turbo. Shane has progressed to a V40 1.8 limited edition (engine 1731cc but is a factory tuned engine) and she is gorgeous, well it is if you like this type of car! Anyway, following his accidents Shane has never... Read the full review: A Volvo is for Life and not just for Christmas! by wulise |

Volvo V70 in general ... have owned a Volvo V70 for around 2 years now and have been very pleased with it. I have not experienced any problems with this car and would recommend it to anyone. On paper this is one of the worlds safest and most efficient cars. The car has front and side airbags as well as standard crumple zones. The petrol mileage is good and with its 5 cylinder, low-pressure turbo charged engine the car provides very good power. The car is great for room; I have a family of 4 and there is plenty of leg room. I also have 4 dogs and the boot is spacious enough for them and some of the luggage when we go away. The car drives and handles brilliantly and is very comfortable ... Read the full review: The perfect family car by cjholgreaves |
