Looks
Classically stylish with a modern twist. A gorgeous looking car that is understated enough not to get vandalised for being too flash, but you wouldnt feel out of place turning up at a swanky hotel. The wheel upgrade is well worth the £600 extra for the 18 inches as your likely to find resale easier because of this, plus they look great.

Performance
More 'torque' than Jonothan Ross, opt for the 170bhp engine and its more than the R32!! Very smooth at cruising speeds and great around the town, unleash it on an open country road and it will handle like a GTI.
Pricing
Slighty more than it's competitors, however what you pay at the frontend you will more than return at the backend with excellent residuals. Try for an ex demo as your likely to get a little extra spec, but here are cracking deals on new to be had out there with main dealers. Avoid the supermarkets, your likely to find auction cars, ex daily rental cars which have been painted, coupled with the customer service, main dealers for VW product is the way to go.

Overview
I have owned Focus's, Astra's and before the Golf I had an Audi A3 Quattro S line TDI. This is the best I have owned by far perfect fpr everyday use and long trips will massive fuel economy, choose the 5 door and you have a great family car with room for an elephants trunk.
