Advantages: Looks and drives great
Disadvantages: nothing,
As a little bit of a petrol head, I am a massive VW fan. The car I have just sold was a Mk5 Golf 1.9L TDI.
Starting with the interior - as it is my favourite part of this car - It is very spacious, however I must say not as spacious as the MK4 golf. Inside is quite plain but modern. The dashboard is higher up than previous models. The speedometer and other dials are lit up in red and blue, which is very edgy. The built in CD player is very good. Previously I have found standard stereos don't sound as good as more branded models such as Bose, however this VW stereo didn't let me down.
The exterior has improved on every model of the golf that has come out over the years. This is a much boxier model and my Golf came with a standard small spoiler which I think is a very great sporty touch. This Golf is available in many different colours, both metallic and not, I went for a metallic silver as I think its very classy.
As with all VW's this car is very reliable. It handles very well and when your sat in it you feel as though you are in a tank, and untouchable. The only problem I have had with this car is within the first 3 months it needed a new steering rack, luckily this was covered under warranty, and is a very common problem with this mk5 Golf.
This car is a very comfortable car, its fantastic on fuel as long as you don't rag it around everywhere as then it is a different story! My golf set me back £18,000 as I did have a few extras added on such as an arm rest and Ipod adaptor. I got this car on finance as VW offer a great rate and are very competitive.
Overall I cannot really say anything bad about this car, its the best car I have owned and I am sad to see it go.
Summary: I will miss this car
