I've owned my Volkswagen, Golf, Mark 5, 1.9 se tdi for 2 years now. I am considering purchasing the new mark 6 but it would be so difficult to part with my car. Its only a 2006 but my god do I love it. I've simply added the GTI 18" alloys, cheap option to add major sex appeal. None of this matters however, the important points ... Read the complete review

After being very impressed with my previous MK4 I decided to buy another Golf and go for the new MK5 1.9 TDI SE model. First impressions from sitting in the car was the rather dull interior but at the same time the car has still the excellent build quality that VW are renowned for. The ride comfort and handling on this ... Read the complete review

Amongst this fleet is a silver diesel-fuelled 1.9L VW Golf Mk5 TDI. As I drive a Ford Mondeo, I am used to a silky smooth and straightforward ride, however the Golf is a very ... Almost 6 months ago I decided to trade in my Ford Fiesta and get a proper car. I'd pretty much set my heart on a Golf but needed to try some other cars and also decide what mark Golf I wanted. After test driving a few cars I finally decided that the Golf was my favourite and that was what I was going to get. Next onto whether to get a mark 4 or ... Read the complete review

Speaking from experience, recent golfs have always been good, but not brilliant, sure they have always been reliable and solidly built, and the MK5 is no exception, but they've always been a bit lacking in their appeal. This lack of appeal stops, however, with the MK5 Having owned the new GTi (200bhp) for the past two months, and also ... Read the complete review
