 ... that! The performance is great (I have a 2k3 model!), despite 130k miles, it drives like new! Fuel economy is good, though my only gripe is that some Arriva buses have a tighter turning circle... Still, it's a lot of car to move around, and the 1.9 PD is a very good engine at that task. I find the tiptronic is a little jerky in manual mode, (from first to second), and I wish there was a sports mode. I have just discovered the joy of owning a Passat SE TDi Tiptronic estate. They are fantastic to drive, and the trim level is generous! from the Alloys to the 6 disc cd multichanger, I cannot fault it at all! (I had just come from owning and driving a Vectra LS DTi hatch). I just LOVE that blue dash! I don't think I'll ever tire of that! The performance is great (I have a 2k3 model!), despite 130k miles, it drives like new! When I decided to change to an automatic I thought I would try a diesel. My search inevitably led to VW. I didn't even know that the tiptronic existed - it is outstanding. You wouldn't know it's a diesel if it wasn't for the extra engine noise when starting or waiting at a quiet junction and the amount of times you end up driving straight past the petrol station.
