Advantages: Effective ,easy to apply, comes with clear instructions

Disadvantages: Very poisonous to cats which is a bit scary.

When our lovely golden retriever started to bring home unwanted guests in the spring we knew it was time to act. She is very sociable(think Marilyn Monroe in dog form),but fleas and ticks were definitely not on the guest list. I am not often in favour of "non natural" remedies for our dogs but it got so bad that ticks seemed to be hurling themselves at Jess even if we walked in the middle of the road!! We decided to try Bob Martin Dog Spot On for large dogs over 15kg and it was succesful from day one taking away the stress from us and Jess.
The product comes in three little pipettes one to be applied every four weeks giving 12 weeks protection in total. The instructions are clear with photos on the back of the packaging showing how to apply the drops half on the skin between the shoulder blades and the other half on exposed skin at the base of the tail. There is a marker line on each pipette showing when you have used half the amount to make it even easier to apply.
I apply the drops after Jess has gone to bed for the night as they advise you not to handle the treated area for 6hrs. on the inside of the pack is a small area to record the date of each treatment .Very useful!!
I paid about 5pounds 50p at Morrisons for the pack and consider it money well spent and will be continuing to use it.

Summary: Great product if used carefully following the safety instructions
