I bought this for our cats last Christmas and it has proved a great hit! It cost £19.99 from Amazon and our cats think it is the best ever toy!

Basically, it is a laser light which moves itself round the room automatically. You just have to stand it on a table top, sit back and watch your cat going bonkers running after the light. It's very funny! You can also switch the light to static if you wish.

Our male cat is the biggest fan (he is completely bonkers and very hyperactive) and it drives him wild, though we usually turn the automatic setting off and move it about ourselves. We can get him running from one end of the house to the other without leaving our chairs! It excercises the cats (particularly our couch-potato female) and keeps them fit.

The only downside of Frolicat is the constant begging from the cats to play with it, but we set it to automatic in that situation and it switches itself off after 15 minutes so you don't really need to do anything else.

The main problem with it is that if you aren't careful where you position it, it can shine right into the cats' eyes, which is pretty dangerous. That is why we usually use it on manual. You should never, ever look into the laser light yourself. They can be pretty dangerous things really and small children should never play with the cats unsupervised if they are using the Frolicat.

Used correctly though, this toy gives hours of pleasure to cats who like to play and wears hyperactive cats out to the point where they just want to curl up and sleep, thus giving their owners some peace and quiet!
