      Well worth the money.

With 3 cats, 2 virtually house cats, a litter tray is a must for our house. I like to keep my girls tray as clean and hygienic as possible for them as much as for us, after all no one likes using a dirty loo. Up until we had Jayden I didn't often use litter tray liners, I found them more trouble than they were worth. My cats hated them, they got their claws caught in them and ripped them defeating the whole object of a nice easy clean litter change, but now with a baby in the house I just want a quick easy hygienic litter change so I decided to give liners another try.

I found these Gimpet Polybags for litter trays on the zooplus website, a favourite of mine, and although they are a bit more expensive than other liners they seemed to get very good reviews.

Gimpet Polybags cost £2.79 for 12, the packaging has the Gimpet Logo at the top and a picture of a very cute cat, the bags are made from very strong polythene, Gimpet state that these polybags fit almost any litter tray from the basic ones to the more elaborate lidded ones, they measure approximately 45cm's x 5cm's and are 12cm's deep. My girls only have a basic litter tray so these bags easily fit it. Using the bags is simple just place it in your tray and fill with litter as usual.

The first time I used one of these in the tray my 3 cats were very suspicious, they don't like anything different with their tray and I wondered if they would use it but after a good sniff and a delicate pat with the paw one at a time they ventured in to do their business.

I've been pleased with the Gimpet Polybags, they are nice and strong and so far none of my girls have clawed holes in them, its easy to scoop any poop out without snagging the liner although I don't think these would work so well with clumping cat litter but that's just my personal opinion others may find they do work. When it comes to changing the litter it couldn't be easier, I just gather the edges of the bag up and tie at the top, no mess at all. My hands are kept clean and so is the tray which is nice because it doesn't matter how well you clean a litter tray, in the end they get stained and a bit smelly, these bags eliminate this problem.

There are cheaper litter tray liners on the market but I would recommend these, they work out at slightly over 23p a liner and they save so much mess and time. If your little fur babies use a litter tray these are well worth a try.
