Jolly Moggy Catnip Mice
My cats aren't fussy things. They like toys and they don't particular care what they are or what they look like so long as they can play with them and have lots of fun. When we first got our cats, we purchased an array of toys for them so they wouldn't get bored and the Jolly Moggy Catnip mice were just one pack of many toys.
The mice came in a pack of two and we paid £1.50 for the pack from a pet shop. The mice are 2 different colours - one is beige and the other is more of a biscuit colour. they each have eyes, little felt brown ears and a longish felt brown tail. Each mouse measures 5 x 4.5 x 8 cms and they are made from the same type of material as cat scratch posts. The mice are also filled with cat nip which is supposed to make the toy more attractive to your cat to play with.
Now cat nip is a strange little substance. Some cats like it and go crazy for it whilst others will merely turn their noses up at it and look at you as though you have tried to make them play with some type of poison. My cats are not fussed by cat nip, they just love things to play with 0 including my daughter's Littlest Pet Shop figures!
The cat nip mice are a little deceiving in that they look like they are hardy little cat toys but once your cats have had a hold on them and started ripping them apart, biting them and generally sticking their claws into them, they are a little worse for wear. I did find that after my cats had finished massacring the poor little mice that the tails were half hanging off and there was an odd ear missing here and there. I also found that the material on the mice unravelled after a few weeks and left the mice being unfit for use.
Overall, these mice are a good bit of fun for your cats. They are nice and cheap so it doesn't break the bank when you cats finally "kill" them either. My cats are not bothered by cat nip at all and the fact that it was in the mice was not an issue either way but be warned if your cat is a cat nip hater then these probably won't go down all that well.
