When we got Layla just over a year ago, we bought her several different new toys to play with, probably more than when we got Poppy and Daisy because there was 2 of them and they seemed more interested in chasing and playing with each other rather than playing with toys, however when we got Layla we only got one kitten and was much more interested in the toys we bought her compared to Poppy and Daisy. When visit our local pet shop I spotted the Jolly Moggy Kitten Tunnel and was instantly drawn to it (probably because it was pink) needless to say we now have one of these tunnels!!!
The Jolly Moggy Kitten Tunnel is basically what it says, a tunnel made from a luxurious faux fur and fleese fabric for your kitten/ cat to play in. The tunnel is fleesy/ furry both inside and out, however inside the tunnel underneath the fleesy fabirc is a layer of crinkle sounding material which makes a noise as you cat plays. The tunnel is also filled (within the material) with a premium quality catnip to encvourage your cat to play inside the tunnel and at one end of the tunnel is a ball attached to a piece of black string for extra entertainment., the ball is also filled with catnip. The Kitten Tunnel is not a huge toy that will take up a lot of room, and is also extendable to help with storage, it measures about 20cm in diameter, in length 20cm when compressed and 35cm when extended. We bought Layla the pink Joly Moggy Kitten Tunnel, it is totally pink on the inside, on the outside the ends of the tunnel are pink and the middle of it is black with the Jolly Moggy logo on a small brown badge stitched onto the top of the tunnel.
Was It A Success?
Basically yes it was, Layla loved her tunnel, it is an ideal toy for you kitten/ cat to play with either alone or with you, Layla oftens plays inside the tunnel pouncing in and out of it after the ball at one end, or sometimes I will drag a piece of string or something through it and she runs through after it, the tunnel gives her hours of fun. I particually like it as it is something she can play with when she is left in the house alone, the fury inside also makes it somewhere cosy she can go, she often just lays inside the tunnel, I think it must be warm with all the fleese and fur it is made of.
Price & Where to Purchase
I purchased Laylas Jolly Moggy Kitten Tunnel from our local pet store for £8.99, I believe they can be bought from most pet stores and I have even seen them on sale on Amazon, the prices do vary a little depending on where you buy them however the difference in price is minimal from what I have seen. They are a little pricy but personally I think they are well worth the money
So far the Jolly Moggy Kitten Tunnel has prooved to be very durable, it has had a lot of use in the year we have had Layla, it has been flattened, chewed and generally rolled around the house and still looks as good as new. The fabric has prooved to be very hard wearing nad does not look worn in any way. The furry parts have hardly flattened at all and still feel as soft as they did on day one. So all in all a very ahrd wear long lasting toy.
Overall I have been very impressed with the Jolly Moggy Kitten Tunnel, it has prooved to be long lasting, heard wearing nad is an excellnt toy for you cat to play with both alone and with you. The tunnel is desribed as suitbale for kittens however personally I think it is suitable for both cats and kittens (unless you have a particulaly large cat) Layla still plays with hers and has jsut as much fun with it as whne she was a kitten. This is definitly a toy I would recommend for any cat.
