Disadvantages: None really apart from the price is a bit high
I'm a massive cat lover and spoil my 3 girls rotten. They get birthday presents and have a little stocking each at Christmas, I know I'm daft but that's how I am! As each of my cats have had their birthdays this year we've bought them a new bowls. I was browsing on line and found a website called www.posherpawsboutique.co.uk.
They sell the K9 pink fish cat bowl, at £14.95 it was certainly expensive for a cat bowl but it was a bit different to the regular bowls and I loved it. I searched around and found them on Amazon for approximately £10.00 which although still expensive was quite a bit cheaper. I prefer my girls to have china bowls now as I think they look nicer in my kitchen but they do get chipped and cracked easily. The K9 bowl looks like it is made from thick glass but actually its made from a very heavy polyresin which really appealed to me.
The K9 pink fish cat bowl has a 4.5inch diameter at the top and slightly larger round the bottom. It is made from a polyresin and has pink coloured 3 dimensional fish set inside the polyresin so they look like they are swimming round the sides of the bowl. There are 5 of these pink fish all made to look like a fish skeleton.
The bottom of the bowl is clear and has non slip feet which is ideal for me because with lighter bowls they tend to get pushed around the floor or tipped over.
Of course when you buy your pet a new bowl they may or may not like it, or maybe that's just my cats, but I am pleased to say Daisy. Poppy and Layla all took their K9 bowls straight away. They have no problem eating from them and they never move them of their little mats. Layla likes to put her paws on the edge of her bowl and eat like that, this has, in the past, resulted in both food and water bowls tipping over. The K9 bowl is heavy and the non slip feet stop this happening so that is a plus for me. No more coming in from work to find their food all over the floor.
The bowls are easily cleaned with hot soapy water and the smell of the cat food doesn't get ingrained into them like it does with cheap plastic bowls I've used in the past. The manufactures recommend hand washing the bowls so by that I would assume they are not suitable for the dishwasher.
I am very pleased with the K9 pink fish bowls, my cats have been using them since May and although they have been washed daily they are still as good as new, nice and shiny and no scratches. The bowls are expensive but in my opinion they have been worth it. They look clean and modern in my kitchen and they don't tip over or move.
The bowls come in a few other designs too, as well as the pink and blue fish they are also available with red hearts, strawberries, pink blue and brown bones and there's also a cute one with an orange carrot design for bunnies.
If your pet is pampered and you want a good heavy non slip bowl I would recommend buying one of these.
Summary: Daisy, Poppy and Layla recommend these.
