Mikki Grooming Wipes are a product that you can use to groom and care for your pampered pet cat in between very occasional washes. They can also be safely used with pet dogs too. When used they can add shine and help to prevent/ minimize tangled fur.

As our cats don't much like the water, we do try to look out for alternate ways to maintain their clean and glossy coats and keep the rest of them in tip top condition at the same time, thats where Mikki Grooming Wipes come in handy. The grooming wipes come in a simple to use plastic container which helps to hold the moisture within the wipes when being stored ready for use. The container looks pretty much similar to the one shown here with a bit more red to it, so it should still be easy to find amongst the pet care items.

The small packs cost around £2.65 and the larger packs are around £5.65. The larger packs contain at least 70 wipes which works out at roughly 8/ 9p pr wipe. The wipes are something we keep to use as quick spruce up items, as they are soft enough to use on the main body of our cats including the tail, paws, etc. We don't use these wipes for cleaning ears or near our cats eyes.

When you want to use a wipe you can easily get one out of the dispenser and this pulls the tip of the next wipe out slightly ready for the next use. We have found the wipes are handy when our cats have made a mess when eating and need a quick spruce up. They can also be used on dirty dusty paws and also as a general grooming and shine enhancing wipe.

When using the wipes as a general grooming aid, we have found that by simply using one wipe very gently on the our cats fur, a light shine can be achieved when combined with a gentle but thorough brushing. The wipes have a light cologne fragrance to them which is not too over powering or off putting to our cats, which is something we felt was very important.

The wipes are made to be used on other animals as well as cats, but as we have only used them with our cats its not possible to say how they perform in those situations. However as we have found them to be very handy for use with our cats we can recommend them for that purpose.

I would say that with anything that has an unusual aroma, however light, its always best to allow your cat to have a quick sniff to gauge their reaction first. We never like to use anything that can be an irritation to our cats and have found that if they have caught a whiff and not minded, or had a reaction to a patch test prior to use then a product is generally ok to use.

As our cats really do not like being washed and shampooed much, we have found the wipes to be useful to us and would recommend them to owners in similar situations. As a light grooming enhancement wipe I feel these work reasonably well and would rate them as a 3 star product.

The deduction of 2 stars is really due to the fact that owners of cats with sensitive skins may not be able to make use these wipes in certain cases. But as with anything you use directly on your cats fur or skin, we find a small patch test prior to any main use can help you to work out if a product will suit your kitty.
