“ Brand: Rayware / Type: Cat Bowls & Feeders „
I don't know about all cats but my cat seems to be a bit of a messy eater and has been known to flick her food about when she eats. We have always sat her two bowls on a feeding mat and when the last one started to look a bit tatty, we had to go buy her a new one.
We bought this one from Pets at Home and it was very reasonably priced at £2.the product can also be ordered online at www.petsathome.com but the postage charges are quite steep unless you are spending over a certain amount. Little Miss chose this one because whilst I don't think the cat is especially bothered, Little Miss likes her to have things which are girly !
The feeding mat is made by Rayware and there are several other designs to chose from. .It measures about 30cm by 42cm which is plenty big enough to get the cat bowls on it and also to allow space for food flicking. Xit is made from a wipe clean silicone which can obviously be wiped with a damp cloth; the food is really easy to get off as long as it hasn't dried in which case I wash it properly in the sink. I think this is one of the reasons why the other one started to fade but we had used it for a year so it wasn't too dramatic.
The design on the mat has I think quite a vintage feel, rather like an old photograph. It has a lace design sort of silhouette of a cat in the middle and round the edges there are flowers still in the same lacey pattern- hence the name. it is also available in blue but I think it looks a bit too bright for the design.
A reasonably priced nicely designed feeding mat which goes a long way to keeping my floor clean. It is easy to keep clean and if it lasts as long as the other one before showing signs of fading then I will be well pleased.
Recommended for feeding time!
