“ Brand: Red Dingo / Type: Cat Collars, Leads & ID „
Prince and collars are determined not to get on but I do not like him going out without one. Firstly he has a tag to activate his cat flap and secondly I would hate for him to come home with a poor bird or other creature. I love red and think that it suits his colour so I tend to always go for a red colour, this one is averagely priced and looks good. So far he has not managed to lose it so that is brilliant!
==Price and availability==
This cat collar is priced at £4.99 and it can be bought from boutique pet shops or Pets at Home. I bought it from Pets at Home for this price, although you may find it cheaper on the internet.
The collar is 1.2 cm wide and will fit a cat's neck that is 20 cm to 32 cm. It is adjustable with a belt loop design. The collar is made from a mixture of cotton and polyester and features a quick release clasp that fits at the front. It has a fish bone design which looks really cool. The fish bone design is repeated along the collar in the strip of fabric. These are reflective so if it is dark you can see them. If I have let him out at night I can see the collar reflecting in the garden but to be honest I tend to hear the bell before I see the collar and then he is bounding through the door. The bell attached to the collar is red and tinkles loudly. There is no tag to write your name and address on. Although he is micro chipped, I ended up buying a barrel that attaches to the collar so that I can have my details on him. Not everyone knows about micro chipping and this could speed up the prcess of having him returned if he wanders off.
==Best looking on the block==
The collar is attractive and I love the design, the only trouble with it, is that the fabric is fraying. As he scratches his neck he pull on the collar and gradually over the time the collar has been pulled so that some of the fabrics have worked loose. The lifespan of the collar is decreased but at least he has not managed to lose the collar and the clasp is a lot tougher than the last one.
I like the reflective fish design and it seems to fit him more comfortably than a leather collar. It has not gone too baggy and does not often need tightening which is good. I would probably choose another collar from this brand in the future as the product is good quality, however it is a shame that the collar is fraying due to persistent neck scratching!
