Advantages: It makes good bowls

Disadvantages: Horrible when wet, very dusty

I have only bought this cat litter once that was more than enough times to work out how horrendously bad this litter is. I think you will understand where I am coming from when I say that I prefer to buy Sainburys Basics cat litter to this.

When our kitten Alfie had been brought home from the vets after being spade, we obviously had to keep him in for a while. Out came the delightful cat litter tray and I had to buy some cat litter, unfortunately I was no-where near our local supermarket so couldn't buy Basics. I headed instead to our local corner shop and purchased a bag of Thomas cat litter. It was the only brand they sold and at £2.99 it wasn't horrendously priced. It is in a very striking yellow bag and has 5L of litter in it. The handle which is plastic is horrible, digs into your hands a lot and I much prefer the cardboard handles which do hold up well to carrying. I cut the top with scissors and poured it into the tray.

Well it is basically stones in a bag, they have no soaking ability at all and they don't even attempt to hide any kind of odour, it seems to make the smell worse if I am honest. I do tend to collect any presents left for me as soon as I can as I hate the smell but if I am out and about and the cat is left to his own devices, there is litter everywhere apart from covering his parcels. I am not sure who turned their nose up more Alfie or me! It is a grey colour and has a lot of powder included with it, be prepared for a dust storm when tipping it into the litter tray. When wet it goes very gloopy and sticks to the bottom in a kind of modelling clay type way, maybe you could use this to mould your cat a new bowl as being a cat litter really isn't its calling.

I would rather use newspaper if I had run out than use this again, no good qualities at all.

Summary: Dont bother
