I know this is a cat bowl but it is actually the bowl that I bought for my dog when he was a puppy because it just looked the best size for him and the shop where I got it only had larger dog bowls.
This was ideal as it was small enough for him to be able to get his head over the rim with no problems to reach his food inside and it was small enough that I wasn’t tempted to overfill it and end up giving him too much food.
Although it is small and compact it is also quite deep which was handy because puppies are messy easters and with this being quite deep it just meant that I could put in his food and there was some space before the top of the bowl so he wouldn't start eating and spill it all over the floor.
Other than the size the main reason for me buying this bowl over the others in the shop was because it was made from metal and not ceramic and I knew how enthusiastic puppies were and I just knew that a really light cheap plastic bowl would end up tipped over in seconds and a ceramic one would end up getting smashed. This one was sturdy and had a little bit more weight to it so was less prone to tipping.
He soon outgrew this cat bowl as it is a small one but it was great for using when he was a puppy and I can't fault the quality or the price for that matter as it was only 3.50. I would have used it for my cat but he has a bowl already which he likes and besides he is a bit f a greedy guts and I think it might have been too small for him too even though it is designed for cats.
