“ Manufacturer: Vapet / Type: Spray / Disinfectant „
Priced at just over £5 at Pets At Home, this trigger spray is suposed to be a stain remover, disenfectant and deterrant for animals that wee over furniture and carpet. Our two cats aren't too bad but we did have a few wee incidents with our last sofa and have had a couple of incidents on our laminate floor!
My experiences are that it doesn't help much get rid of the smell of animal wee from sofas on a permanent basis and that for this, you may be better off investing in Febreeze or some such as these are slightly cheaper and have similar results. However there are many including me who are not keen on the smell of Febreeze, though this Get Off spray is not much sweeter smelling and likewise only partially effective!
As for stains, well you get as much result with products such as Vanish as this Get Off spray doesn't really do as well as it claims on annoying wee stains. I think you have to get them straight away for this to be effective which isn't always possible when cats have had accidents overnight!
As a preventitive measure, this trigger spray probably works best. Animals seem to have less enthusiasm about the scent than their owners and spraying this in an area does make them avoid it! You may need to use repeated applications however as it does not work for longer than a day at most!
As another reviewer has mentioned, I am not sure how you would use this outside or how effective it might be considering its results indoors are intermittent! I have not used it outside so cannot comment but I do know that inside it is an okay product but not ground-breaking or overly amazing!
Overall, this is an okay trigger spray but there are better alternatives available that cost slightly less! Use it if you like but don't expect to get instant results or be blown away by it!
With any puppy or any new animal really you can expect accidents, so with this in mind I decided to buy some puppy power stain remover, also known as Wash and Get Off Cleaning Spray by Vapet.
You can buy this product from Pets At Home for £5.29, now for a cleaning product I thought this was a bit steep but didn't mind as long as it worked.
The product is a solution that comes in a bottle with a spray lid screwed on as an attachment. The bottle itself is white and the lid red. There is an easy trigger to help apply the solution.
On the front of the bottle is a lovely label with a picture of a cat and a dog, the cat with a mop and the dog crossing his legs, it's very comical.
The bottle states that it washes away stains, neutralises odours and prevents repeat soiling. I must admit it definitely takes away the smell but has not got rid of all the stains, which there now seem to be a few which are quite noticeable even after using this product.
The smell is very overpowering and I personally am not a fan, my dog however sneezes constantly after we have used it and occasionally goes mad rolling around in it and sneezing, much to my confusion.
It does smell very clinical, it is hard to describe but once you have it up your nose it won't go away easily.
I personally don't like this product and think it is overpriced and doesn't particularly work. My dog has never been back to the same place and soiled again, but then again he never really does that anyway, especially in the house, it's more accidental in running to the door.
This product is designed for indoor and outdoor use, I don't really know how you are supposed to use it outdoors, what spray it on the grass? I have only used this product indoors.
I suppose this is what I get for buying something when I liked the picture. I will next time go for the more mature looking packaging or just use warm soapy water (a tiny drop of fairy liquid) and your away.
