Armitage Good Girl Catnip Drops
Advantages: My cat loves these, lots per packet, cheap.
Disadvantages: Thin packaging.
These are cat treats that have been flavoured with catnip. Catnip is a herb/weed that contains a hallucinogenic. Some cats react to this and some cats are not interested at all.
These catnip drops come provided in a plastic bag with a heat sealed edge and this is very simple to open. As the packaging is so thin I have found that as soon as I open the bag that it tears down further and further until all the drops end up spilling out so I just ended up transferring them a tuppaware pot to keep them fresh and to stop them from scattering all over the floor.
I am not sure of the exact price of these, as ours was received as part of a 'Good Girl' Christmas Stocking from my neighbour but I believe that these catnip drops (on their own) are just under £1.00 at numerous pet stores and this seems to be a fair enough price to me because the bag is quite large and there are many servings in there.
As I stated above my cat was lucky enough to receive a 'Good Girl' stocking for Christmas 2011 from a friend of ours. There were several different bags of treats within this and these catnip drops were the first ones that we opened and tried her on.
My cat can be quite fussy and in the past year or so we have tried several different bags of cat treats that have been totally ignored and therefore a waste of money. This, fortunately, is not one of those bags and besides Dreamies cat treats this could possibly be the treats that she has loved the most!
These drops are quite small, skim well along my wooden floors and they have a green shade to them. When I throw them for my cat she gets over excited and starts running around and after she has enjoyed a few of them she ends up chasing them instead of eating them and generally gets quite hyperactive.
My cat is quite a quiet cat and is happiest when sitting on my lap or on one of the many beds that she has around our home, however, when these drops come out and she has enjoyed a few she really does seem to come to life! She runs around and really runs down her energy for about 15 minutes before she ends up relaxing and going back to sleep again!
Overall I would say that these catnip drops have the desired effect, at least on my cat. She runs around for a while and appears to be really enjoying herself before she goes back to being lazy again! My cat usually has 5-10 of these at a time, never any more than 10, and she has not tired of them despite having them for around two weeks now.
Summary: Catnip drops that my good girl loves!
