Dreamies Cat Treats
Advantages: cheap, last a long time, resealable bag, cats LOVE them
So I am the crazy cat lady and I have four cats. Two are about 14years old and then I have 2 year old and a 1year old (sounds like I'm talking about children...!) and we often have difficulty in finding treats that they all like, the older pair can be extremely fussy sometimes. We like to mix it up with treats and go from whiskas to felix and stores own meaty stick treats and this is mostly to keep them entertained with different treats and because we'll pick up whatever is on offer at the shop at the time. However we nearly always have Dreamies stocked up as they seem to be all the cats favourites.
We decided to try Dreamies after seeing the advert on tv with the cat running through the wall to get them as it was funny plus I really liked the colourful packaging, I think the cats actually recognise this too as I can pick them up very carefully making no noise and they are at my feet waiting to be given some just by seeing them! They have never run through a wall to get them though fortunately, but if they are in another room with a door shut and they hear the bag rustle they instantly start meowing and scratching at the door because they want them! They absolutely love these treats and they seem more excited and satisfied with them than other treats, they are especially great for when the cats are outside and we need to bribe them to come inside by shaking the treats too.
The bag seems to last quite a while considering we have four cats to feed them to, we tend to give one of the older cats a smaller amount as she doesn't eat as much as the other three. We give them a few of the treats each time, often putting some into a little ball for the younger two to play with because without this they eat the treats so fast, they're usually all gone by the time I've put the bag back in the cat cupboard. We give them treats about every other day, quite often everyday (they are ridiculously spoilt kitties!) although we still tend to mix it up with a few different treats in between so they don't get bored but even if used everyday a bag will last forever!
Each bag is about £1-£2 depending if it's on offer but even at full price they are great money for value as they last for ages and I bet even longer if you only have the one cat and our cats (and many of my friends cats) LOVE them and as long as the cats are happy we're happy! :)
