I have two cats, one is very old at almost seventeen and the other is just out of kittenhood. They both like very different food and now Teacake has become very fussy about what she eats. IN an attempt to get her to eat more, as she is looking quite skinny in her old age, I decided to buy some Go Cat Tender and Crunchy dried cat food. These came in a massive bag and cost me only one pound ninety nine pence from Home Bargains. This is basically dried kibble and the one I purchased comes in turkey beef and vegetables. I am guessing that the green bits of the kibble represents the vegetable and whilst Teacake will eat this dried cat food readily, she will not suffer to touch the green bits and she leaves them in the bottom of her food bowl every time I give them to her. Both cats are always thirsty whenever I give them this particular dried cat food and so I make sure that I have a fresh bowl of water for them to drink out of. on the positive side, my younger cat seems to be very fond of the green veggie kibbles so he eats them if the older cat decides to leave them. The other good thing about this food is that unlike wet cat food, it is good for their teeth and my vet has actually suggested that I encourage both cats to eat this as it massages their gums and helps to prevent gum disease and decay. This food can be used on it's own or used as a supplement but it is one hundred percent nutritious and I know that I am giving both of my cats their energy and vitamin requirements for the day whenever I give them this. it is also a brand which I trust and has a full list of al the ingredients on the reverse of the bag. I am very happy with this cat food and both of my cats enjoy eating it and so I have to recommend it.
My Myrtle is extremely fussy and its very hard to find food for her that she enjoys. Recently I got a trial pack of these through the post that I requested free from a website and Myrtle relished them. I forgot about that though and continued to buy whatever I saw for her that I thought she would enjoy but then out of the blue I spotted a 375g bag of these of these ''With Beef, Chicken And Added Vegetables'' in Poundland and remembered how much she loved them so I bought a couple of bags sadly though they had no choice other than these in flavours but hey ho I knew that I was getting a good deal and the most important thing is that my little munchkin loves them, a great fact that I knew already!

The bag is plastic and mainly bright yellow in colour with a photograph shown of a ginger cat on the front of it and then we are clearly told they are product from Purina and that this food provides 100% Nutrition and then what they are of course and the flavour as I have mentioned already and we are also told that these were voted product of the year this year and that they keep teeth and gums healthy and help to keep muscle tone and strong bones and then on the back of the bag other information listed includes being told a bit about the product, a feeding guide is given, the ingredients are listed along with nutritional advice, the weight of the product is stated and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. This bag is strong and robust and has a press zip style way of getting in and out of the bag so the kibbles stay fresh.
The Food Itself:
These are basically dried kibbles and they are small and some are a deep red colour, some green and some beige and they just have a sort of vegetable smell to me really.
I feed Myrtle on demand and she has a diet of both wet and dried food, these she comes running for and I''m sure she thinks of these as a treat! They sound crunchy as she tucks into them and I''m happy that she likes these because they are a reasonably healthy and nutritionally balanced food that contain real meat, Proteins and Vitamin D. My Myrtle is a young coming up for two year old cat so she''s healthy in my opinion but I do like her to have a healthy diet but one that she enjoys at the same time of course! These don''t seem to make her more thirsty after eating them than other foods and they certainly don''t seem to upset her somewhat iffy tummy she has from time to time! All in all she loves them so, so do I!

As my headline suggests, I have a fussy cat who in particular can only stand a few varieties of biscuits. I got a sample of this for free with some Felix and it was immediately a hit.
The texture of these biscuits differ to traditional go cat biscuits and there seem to be a variety of shapes and sizes offering different benefits, i.e. some for the teeth - just as the name would suggest really. Our cat turns down her wet food and eats this instead when she's given both at dinner time (although it is a complete cat food, so you could just give your cat this).
The main negative is that it's pretty expensive when it isn't in a offer. Just about 350g is £1 on offer but otherwise it's heading towards the £2 mark, and when you have a ravenous cat that eats 80g a day it's not a very thrifty option. We've also had difficulties closing the bag properly with the seal, it doesn't seem to stick very well.
I have 2 cats Layla and Daisy who have both wet and dry food daily, usually the dry element of their diet is either Go Cat, which Layla loves or Purina One which is Daisy's favourite, I tend to stick mainly to these as Daisy gets real bad wind with some cat foods, while shopping recently I noticed a new Go Cat dry food called Crunchy and Tender I bought some to try and hoped that we wouldn't be living in a wind tunnel!
Crunchy and Tender is sold in a plastic bag which is mainly yellow in colour, the front displays the Go Cat logo and shows a picture of a ginger cat. The customer is informed that crunchy and tender is good for healthy teeth and gums and provides a natural defence for a shiny coat.
The back of the packet gives all the information you would expect to fid on a product like this such as ingredients, feeding guide and a small statement about the product.
Opening the bag requires scissors to cut along the top but once open there is a re-sealable strip which keeps the food fresh and contained.
Inside the bag the crunchy biscuits are small, round and various shades of brown and green, the tender ones are more of a reddish/brown in colour and are bigger than the crunchy biscuits, they have a ridged appearance and remind me of Frazzles. The biscuits don't really smell that nice but then I'm not a cat.
Crunchy and Tender is available in2 flavours, Salmon, Tuna and added vegetables and Beef, Chicken and vegetables.
I gave my girls Go Cat Crunchy and Tender and as usual with anything new they approached their bowls with caution, after a good sniff they both decided it was safe to eat and tucked in until their bowls were clean.
I've been buying this for a few weeks now along with Purina One so they don't get fed up with it too soon. I've given them both flavours and they seem to favour the fishy one a little more. I can guarantee their bowls will be cleaned when they have been given this and they purr as I'm pouring it into their bowls.
I buy my Crunchy and Tender from Tesco where a 375g bag costs £1.49 and an 800g bag is £3.15, I will continue to buy this for Daisy and Layla for as long as they like it, its reasonably priced and I find the re-saealable bag better than a box, especially with a 15 month old in the house who thinks the cats biscuits and for shaking.
If you have cats that eat dry food I would certainly recommend trying this my girls love it and so far no wind!.
